First thing to do before getting started
Make sure your location, is conducive
Make sure you work with the piano
Make sure you are alone and concentrate.
You simple need space to move around comfortable during the warm up
Try practicing in stairwells, bathrooms. I love singing when I am having my bath it helps a lot
Try doing the impossible
Make sure that some of your time is devoted to standing up and practicing several times a week somewhere. If possible schedule a specific time and duration for practicing each day. Be specific if you're a morning person or an evening person, practicing in the even when it's quiet may be more convenient
Someone who is new to singing can benefit from practicing 15 to 20 minute a day. Gradually increase the practice time to 30 to 60 minute per day and the warm up portion appropriate.
Notice:- quality practice is better than quantity. Focusing for 20minute of creative practice is better than unfocused practice for an hour. The voice is like any other muscle group in your body, it becomes fatigue and needs rest. If your voice is tired after 20minute rest for some time and sing again later
WHAT DO I NEED BESIDE
MY VOICE
1.KEYBOARD:- you'll need to start up with a small keyboard battery operated keyboard can serve your purpose. You can programme some keyboard to remember the melody, so you don't have to pluck out the tune
2.TAPE:- tape recorder is supper useful useful if you don't have a keyboard (or even if you do) Tape recording your practice session is a great way to monitor your progress. Too record your self singing.
3.METRONOME:- this gadget monitors speed and maintains rhythm the ticking sound that encourages you to stay at the speed or tempo when you practicing, you can make use of your home wall clock. The second hand on the clock is ticking 60 beats per minute. You can practice your song or vocal exercise keeping a steady pace with the kicking of the clock
4.MIRROR:- mirror are so helpful for practicing. It helps you notice your posture, the way your mouth moves to make each vowel or consonant, and what moves as you inhale and exhale and sing you become more aware of how you move your body as you sing
