The Mate 9 is the latest flagship phablet from Chinese manufacturer Huawei featuring Android 7 OS. In size, it is 7.5mm thin and weighs 190g. The Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch Full HD 2.5D display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by an octa core Kirin 960 processor and 4GB RAM. For multimedia, the Mate 9 packs a dual camera setup (second generation Leica camera 20MP f/2.2 monochrome and a 12MP f/2.2 color sensors) on back with optical image stabilisation and Dual tone LED flash and an 8 Mega Pixel front facing camera with f/1.9 aperture and auto focus. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.3, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GPS-A, NFC technology, Dual SIM functionality and LTE mobile connections.
The Mate 9 comes pre-installed with Google’s latest Android 7 Nougat OS and EMUI 5.0. For storage, it comes with a 64GB built-in memory and micro-SD card slot. The Mate 9 also comes with a fingerprint scanner on back with gesture support. In addition to that, it comes with a powerful 4000mAh battery with Super Charge functionality with a 5A charger. The Mate 9 will be available to purchase in six different colors: Space gray, Moonlight silver, Champagne gold, Mocha Brown, Ceramic white and Black. It will go on sale in selected markets (including France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and UAE) for $699.
